We knew it was coming. After all, we've seen it on every Big Ten football jersey and field this season. Heck, we even saw it added to the floor of Indiana's iconic Assembly Hall. Now, we have visual proof of the "B1G" patch on a Big Ten basketball jersey.

That's the Hawkeyes pictured above, of course, but every Big Ten basketball team is required to wear the patch on its jerseys this winter, the conference confirmed Wednesday.

Thoughts?

Personally, I don't think it's that big of an eyesore – as long as teams don't clutter it with other patches. Some fans are certain to complain, though, particularly those who root for teams with classic uniforms that rarely, if ever, change.
