Allen Robinson had a productive quarter for Penn State. He caught two passes for 45 yards and one touchdown, and the Nittany Lions lead 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Penn State struck first when Matt McGloin found Robinson open for a 41-yard touchdown pass, the final play of a four-play, 46-yard drive. Jesse Della Valle's punt return set the Nittany Lions up to start the drive.

Temple will start the second quarter with the ball on its own 41-yard line.
