Central Michigan held Iowa to 23 yards through the air during the second quarter and the Chippewas have taken the lead 23-14. Central Michigan's David Harman booted two field goals in the quarter.

The Chippewas have scored 13 straight points. Ryan Radcliff's 29-yard touchdown pass to Titus Davis gave Central Michigan the lead, 17-14, and was the final play of a five-play, 63-yard drive.

The Chippewas made their lead 20-14 when Harman kicked a 25-yard field goal on the last play of a 12-play, 72-yard drive. Despite driving to the Hawkeyes' three-yard line, Central Michigan had to settle for a field goal.

The Chippewas added to their advantage when Harman drilled a 20-yard field goal, polishing off a six-play, 45-yard drive to give Central Michigan the lead, 23-14. The Chippewas started in good field position at the Iowa 48-yard line when Central Michigan returned a punt. The Chippewas only looked to the running game for one carry during that series.

Central Michigan will get the ball to start the second half.
