Did You See This? #BTNLive looks at old hairdos

“#BTNLive” went on a rather entertaining tangent Tuesday night. It all started during our interview with Nebraska’s Ameer Abdullah, when BTN analyst Howard Griffith asked the running back about the haircut he’s rocking in his Huskers.com player profile. The dreadlocks are no more, clearly.

On the topic of hair, the show then spotlighted Griffith and Chuck Long’s bold hair styles from the early 1980s. Watch the segment now.

Abdullah on clipping the dreadlocks:

“It was just time for a change. I had the dreadlocks for about three years, and I was just thinking about it one day: How would I look with short hair again? I just cut it, and there’s no going back.”

Long on his haircut during his Iowa career:

“Back in the 80′s, I had a lot of hair. That was the style; you had to have it long and in your eyes a little bit. That was a great style!”

Griffith on his haircut as an adolescent:

“I’d love to have that back. It was like silk, Dave.”
