Reilly O'Toole threw for 333 yards and five touchdowns and receiver Ryan Lankfordhad 97 yards and two scores to lead Illinois to a 44-0 win Saturday over Charleston Southern. The Illini (2-1) were missing a handful of starters who were injured, including quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase, who has missed two games with a sprained ankle. O'Toole got the start and connected with Lankford twice in the first quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER: Reilly O'Toole threw for 331 yards and five touchdowns leading Illinois to a 44-0 victory over Charleston Southern on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The Fighting Illini's passing game looked flawless as it torched Charleston Southern for 364 yards and five touchdowns.

Home run plays keyed the Fighting Illini's scoring attack. Illinois had 10 plays of 20 yards or more on its way to victory. With 12:30 to go in the third quarter, O'Toole found Justin Hardee open for a 48-yard pass, the Fighting Illini's biggest gain of the game. Later in the drive, O'Toole and Spencer Harris hooked up for a 24-yard touchdown, which gave Illinois a 27-0 lead.

The Buccaneers finished with 129 total yards, including 29 yards passing while completing five of 17 attempts. Charleston Southern also moved the ball on the ground, earning 100 yards on 31 attempts.
