Illinois opened up the lead, 37-0, after marching down the field for a two-play, 25-yard drive that ended when O’Toole threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Jon Davis. The Fighting Illini started in good field position when Illinois returned a punt.
The Fighting Illini’s O’Toole passed for 116 yards in the quarter to put him over 200 yards for the game. O’Toole has 265 yards through the air so far today.
Illinois has the ball at its own 35-yard line to begin the fourth quarter.
