Johnathan Coleman led Boston College in the quarter. He caught three passes for 61 yards and one touchdown, but the Eagles trail 12-10. Northwestern's Jeff Budzien has kicked four field goals. The Wildcats made their lead 9-3 when Budzien made a 28-yard field goal on the last play of a 12-play, 67-yard drive.

Chase Rettig's 31-yard touchdown pass to Coleman gave Boston College the lead 10-9 after a six-play, 95-yard drive. Rettig's 21-yard pass to Coleman took the Eagles from the 36 and across midfield to ignite the drive.

Budzien's 41-yard field goal gave Northwestern the lead, 12-10, and was the final play of a nine-play, 54-yard drive. The Wildcats' rushing attack finished with just one carry during that series.

Boston College is set to receive to start the second half.
