FINAL: No. 11 Michigan State beat Central Michigan 41-7 thanks to a tag-team effort from Andrew Maxwell and Le'Veon Bell on Saturday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Maxwell racked up 278 yards through the air and Bell rumbled for 62 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

The Spartans' passing game looked unstoppable at times against the Chippewas' defense. Michigan State's air attack couldn't be contained, as it torched Central Michigan for 323 yards and two touchdowns.

The Spartans' offense dominated, ripping off huge chunks of yardage. Michigan State burned the Chippewas' defense for five plays of more than 20 yards. The Spartans added to the highlight reel when Maxwell found DeAnthony Arnett open for a 48-yard pass with 12:50 left in the third quarter. The big gainer was part of a seven-play drive capped off when Maxwell threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Bennie Fowler. That gave Michigan State a 31-0 lead.

Central Michigan racked up 247 total yards. The Chippewas' passing game had to do most of the work with the rushing attack contributing just 74 yards rushing on 22 attempts.
