Notre Dame stuffed the run, giving up just 12 yards on the ground in the third quarter and the Fighting Irish now lead 17-7. Notre Dame has scored 10 unanswered points. Everett Golson and TJ Jones combined for a three-yard touchdown to break the 7-7 deadlock in favor of the Fighting Irish. The play capped a 10-play, 66-yard scoring drive.

Notre Dame opened up the lead, 17-7, after marching down the field for a three-play, eight-yard drive that ended when Kyle Brindza kicked a 29-yard field goal. An interception by Bennett Jackson set the Fighting Irish up at the Purdue 20-yard line to start the drive.

Notre Dame's Golson reached the 200-yard passing mark for the game thanks to 89 in the quarter, and currently sits with 262 yards in all.

Purdue is poised to score with the ball on the Fighting Irish's 17-yard line to start the fourth quarter.
