Michigan picked up 81 yards in the ground game during the third quarter, and the Wolverines now lead 28-17. Michigan opened up the lead, 21-10, after marching down the field for a one-play, 58-yard drive that ended when Denard Robinson took a quarterback draw all the way for a 58-yard touchdown run.

An 89-yard drive that ended when Cody Getz turned a handoff into a one-yard touchdown helped Air Force narrow the deficit to 21-17. The Falcons, during that march downfield, exploited a tired defensive line, running on 10 of 13 plays.

The Wolverines added to their advantage when Robinson and Devin Gardner combined for a seven-yard touchdown, the finishing touch on a seven-play, 60-yard drive to give Michigan the lead, 28-17.

The Wolverines' Devin Funchess hit 100 yards receiving for the game in the quarter, part of his 101-yard, four-reception performance thus far.

Air Force has the ball on Michigan's 32-yard line to begin the fourth quarter.
