2nd Quarter Recap: Boise State 13, Michigan State 10

In the second quarter, Le’Veon Bell continued to be a workhorse, running for 50 yards and catching three balls for 21 yards. Despite Bell’s efforts, the Spartans have fallen behind Boise State, 13-10. The Broncos are currently on a 10-point run. Boise State made the score 10-10 when Jeremy Ioane intercepted a Andrew Maxwell pass and returned it for a touchdown.

Boise State broke the tie when Michael Frisina made a 19-yard field goal to cap off a five-play, 28-yard scoring drive. The Broncos’ drive was highlighted by Joe Southwick’s 40-yard pass to Matt Miller. Boise State squandered an opportunity to score a touchdown, missing a chance to score from Michigan State’s two-yard line before settling for the field goal.
