Big Ten releases 2012-13 men's hoops schedule

The Big Ten Conference announced the 2012-13 Big Ten men?s basketball schedule Thursday. The conference season begins on New Year?s Eve and culminates in March with the Big Ten Men?s Basketball Tournament at the United Center in Chicago.

The conference slate tips off Monday, Dec., 31, with Iowa hosting Indiana and Minnesota welcoming Michigan State. Games continue Wednesday, Jan. 2 (lllinois-Purdue and Nebraska-Ohio State), while the remaining four teams open their conference slates Thursday, Jan. 3 (Michigan-Northwestern and Penn State-Wisconsin).

The 2013 Big Ten Men?s Basketball Tournament will tip off on Thursday, March 14 and conclude on Sunday, March 17.
