In front of the 166th consecutive sellout crowd at the Nebraska Coliseum, No. 4 Nebraska volleyball knocked off top-ranked UCLA in five (25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 19-25, 15-13). Purdue stays undefeated: Purdue freshman Sam Espenesa talks with BTN Student U after the Boilermakers swept Georgia Washington 25-12, 25-12, 25-16 to move to 2-0 on the year. Thirteen players earned court time for No. 9 Purdue as the Boilermakers committed just three hitting errors in the contest. Read more at Purduesports.com. Ohio State splits: No. 24 Ohio State  kicked off the second day of the 2012 Sports Imports DC Koehl Classic with a three-set sweep (25-19, 25-20, 25-14) of Toledo Saturday in St. John Arena. In the night match, Oregon held off the Buckeyes to win 3-2. Read more at OhioStateBuckeyes.com.

Iowa splits: Iowa dropped a 3-2 decision to Southeast Missouri on Saturday afternoon in its third game of the Hawkeye Challenge presented by Comfort Suites (29-27, 23-25, 19-15, 25-13, 13-15). The match was held on Mediacom Court inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes (3-1) rebounded Saturday night to beat Valparaiso 3-1. Read more at Hawkeyesports.com.

Penn State stays unbeaten: The No. 3 Penn State women's volleyball team (3-0) finished its first weekend of the 2012 season with an unblemished record after sweeping Louisville, 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-18). Junior Ariel Scott was named the Active Ankle Challenge MVP. Read more at GoPSUsports.com.

Illinois wins: Jocelynn Birks had 19 kills and seven digs to pace No. 7 to a 25-23, 19-25, 25-22, 25-18 victory over Ohio in the Illini's final match of the Dayton Flyer Classic. Liz McMahon added 14 kills in Illinois' first win in three matches on the weekend and on the season. Illinois is 1-2 after falling to Dayton in three sets on Friday and to No. 11 Pepperdine, 25-15, 25-21, 25-20 on Saturday morning.
