Purdue product Ryan Kerrigan spent four seasons terrorizing Big Ten quarterbacks, and now he's trying to sack another thorn in his side: high utility bills. At least that's the case in a new Thompson Creek Window Company ad that features Kerrigan, a rising second-year star on the Washington Redskins, as the spokesperson. The company is based in Lanham, Md., and it played to Kerrigan's strengths in the commercial, having the former Boiler tackle a man dressed as a utility bill. No joke.

It's not meant to be funny, but it's hard not to get a little bit of a chuckle out of this spot. One of Kerrigan's former teammates went to Twitter to give him a hard time:

Just Thursday, BTN.com ranked Kerrigan's Purdue career No. 1 among all defensive players during the BTN era (2007-11). As a rookie last season, Kerrigan notched 63 tackles, 7.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. The last stat there should come as no surprise, seeing as how Kerrigan matched the FBS record with 14 career forced fumbles.

Kerrigan isn't a newbie to acting. Take a look at his first commercial, from back in his Purdue days.
