Coaches go to great measures trying to build team camaraderie. Second-year Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill recently approved a fun and enjoyable team building activity that could only make the team grow closer. The Gophers went paintballing Sunday. And goldengophergridiron’s YouTube page has a video from the event. See the full feature in this post.
Good stuff. But I have to ask: Where’s all the paint?! I was kind of hoping to see at least one player who didn’t escape the fun clean. Oh, and those player cams were a really nice touch.

you would think that a div 1 school wouldnt have to use gimmick as a team building. Sounds like Kill has alot of work to do before da goofers has a real team to talk about.
For a team that has experienced tragedy and so much coaching instability, it is great to see a team with all of this chemistry. The Gophers are definitely poised for a good, breakout season.
@BigRedOne, it’s very common to see division 1 programs doing these team building activities. Michigan did one last year (a boot camp, I think), Penn State actually did paintball too this past weekend. I think it’s a great idea. Surprised you didn’t know D1 schools did that. “The more you know”, right?
