Get Ready for The Hockey City Classic

It’s official: That college hockey doubleheader called the Hockey City Classic at Chicago’s Soldier Field, featuring a game between Wisconsin and Minnesota, is set for February 17, 2013. Notre Dame plays Miami (Ohio) in the other game, although the game times and TV partner have yet to be announced. Tickets for the Hockey City Classic go on sale to the general public on Monday, Oct. 1 through Ticketmaster.com. But if you lace up the skates, you’ll be excited to know that there will be a number of events in the two weeks leading up to the games. That include free public ice skating, private rink rentals, and some youth, high school and adult hockey events.
