Two former Penn State women's volleyball stars and one former Nebraska star were named to the U.S. Women's Volleyball Team for the upcoming Olympics. Former Nebraska Husker Jordan Larson was named as were Penn State's Christa Harmotto and Megan Hodge.

In addition, Penn State's Alisha Glass and Nicole Fawcett are two of eight alternates. Former Husker Nancy Metcalf was also been selected as a replacement athlete. The United States National Volleyball Team, which is ranked No. 1 in the world by the International Volleyball Federation, includes five Olympic Games veterans and seven players making their Olympic Games debuts, including Larson.
