Juwan Howard and Jalen Rose came so close to winning the ultimate prize as members of the Fab Five at Michigan. On Thursday night, Howard, an 18-year NBA veteran, finally got to raise the championship hardware as his Miami Heat won the NBA Finals. Where does Rose fit into all of this? He's an analyst for ESPN, so he was able to congratulate his former teammate and celebrate with him in the locker room. Watch video of it, courtesy of BigTenTracker's YouTube page in this post.

Howard only played three minutes in the five-game series and accumulated no stats. But at this point in his career, he was on the Heat to provide veteran leadership and depth. Earlier in the postseason, if you remember, Howard confronted Indiana's Lance Stephenson during shootaround.

It took a while and his better days are way behind him, but the No. 5 pick in the 1994 NBA Draft has the ring to go along with what was a solid career (13.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg and 2.2 asp).
