Charges dropped against Purdue's Antavian Edison

Purdue announced in a press release Tuesday afternoon that charges have been dropped stemming from the May 6 arrest of Purdue wide receiver Antavian Edison in Fort Meyers, Fla.

“We are pleased to know that Antavian’s name has been cleared of any wrongdoing,” Purdue head coach Danny Hope said. “Those of us who know Antavian always believed it was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

The Purdue Department of Intercollegiate Athletics considers this matter concluded and will have no further comment.
