Illinois assistant coach Tim Salem mic'd up

Spring football practice ended about a month ago, but IlliniProductionsHD recently published a great video of Illinois running backs coach and special team coordinator Tim Salem mic’d up during the spring. Salem, who spent the past eight seasons at Central Florida, was a natural in the segment. Watch the video in this post.

The best part: Salem asks redshirt freshman Josh Ferguson,”Chicago Bears or Chicago White Sox,” referencing Ferguson’s incorrect footwork while fielding a punt (1:52 mark). It couldn’t be heard in the video, but Ferguson must have said White Sox, because Salem says, “You a White Sox fan? Unbelievable! First White Sox fan I’ve heard of since I’ve come here.”
