Penn State baseball (27-24, 13-8) completed a weekend sweep with a 3-2 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini on Sunday afternoon. Thanks to the win, Penn State remains one-half game behind Indiana for second place in the Big Ten. Senior Jordan Steranka led the way with three hits, two of which were doubles and one of those doubles scoring senior Joey DeBernardis. INDIANA 2, NORTHWESTERN 1

Northwestern pushed across a run in the bottom of the ninth inning but had another called out at the plate as the Wildcats' late rally came up just short in their Big Ten finale Sunday, falling 2-1 to Indiana at Rocky Miller Park. MICHIGAN 4, PURDUE 3
The University of Michigan baseball team used timely hitting and great pitching from the duo of junior Ben Ballantine and senior/junior Bobby Brosnahan in a 4-3 upset win at No. 15 Purdue on Sunday afternoon at Lambert Field. Read full recap at MGoBlue.com.

MICHIGAN STATE 7, IOWA 3
The University of Iowa baseball team lost 7-3 to Michigan State Sunday afternoon at McLane Stadium. Sunday was the rubber match of the weekend series after the Spartans won Friday (6-0) while Iowa won Saturday (2-1). Michigan State (33-17, 12-9) scored the first seven runs of the contest off Hawkeye starter Jarred Hippen. NEBRASKA 6, MINNESOTA 5
Behind three solo home runs, including back-to-back homers by Austin Darby and Kale Kiser in the second inning and a homer by Chad Christensen in the third, the Nebraska baseball team (32-19, 12-9 Big Ten) completed a sweep of the Minnesota Golden Gophers (28-23, 10-11 Big Ten) on Sunday afternoon at Hawks Field with a 6-5 win. OHIO STATE 7, SEATTLE 2

The Ohio State baseball team defeated Seattle, 7-2, Sunday on Senior Day at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. Tim Wetzel, Ryan Cypret and Brad Hallberg each had two hits for the Buckeyes. John Kuchno allowed two earned runs over a career-high 7.0 innings pitched. The sophomore right-hander struck out a career-best seven batters to move to 8-3 on the season.
