The 2012 NFL Draft kicks off Thursday night and runs through Saturday afternoon at Radio City Music Hall in New York. To get our readers excited for the three-day marathon of analysis and predictions, we're taking you on a trip down memory lane. ILLINOIS
Last first-round pick: DT Corey Liuget – 2011
Draft tidbit: In 1996, defensive stalwarts Kevin Hardy and Simeon Rice were taken No. 2 and No. 3 overall, respectively.

INDIANA
Last first-round pick: WR Thomas Lewis – 1994
Draft tidbit: Two of Indiana's last three draft picks – James Brewer (No. 117, 2011) and Rodger Saffold (No. 33, 2010) – were tackles. Previously, Chris Liwienski (1998) was the last Indiana tackle selected.

IOWA
Last first-round pick: DE Adrian Clayborn – 2011
Draft tidbit: In 2011, Ricky Stanzi (No. 135, Kansas City) became the first Iowa quarterback to be drafted since Matt Rodgers in 1992.

MICHIGAN
Last first-round pick: DE Brandon Graham – 2010
Draft tidbit: The Wolverines had an impressive three first-round picks in the 2001 draft, as David Terrell (No. 8, Chicago), Steve Hutchinson (No. 17, Seattle) and Jeff Backus (No. 18, Detroit) all were taken in the first 18 picks.

MICHIGAN STATE
Last first-round pick: WR Charles Rogers – 2003
Draft tidbit: Since Charles Rogers went with the second pick in 2003, no Spartan has been drafted higher than Devin Thomas in 2008 (Round 2, Pick No. 34).

MINNESOTA
Last first-round pick: RB Laurence Maroney – 2006
Draft tidbit: From 2004-06, Minnesota had a running back selected in each draft, starting with Thomas Tapeh (No. 162, Philadelphia) and followed up by Marion Barber (No. 109, Dallas) and Laurence Maroney (No. 21, New England).

NEBRASKA*
Last first-round pick: CB Prince Amukamara – 2011
Draft tidbit: In 2010, Ndamukong Suh became Nebraska's earliest selection since Neil Smith also went No. 2 in 1988.

NORTHWESTERN
Last first-round pick: DT Luis Castillo – 2005
Draft tidbit: Since Luis Castillo went in the first round in 2005, no Wildcat has been selected higher than Corey Wooton in 2010 (No. 109, Chicago)

OHIO STATE
Last first-round pick: DE Cameron Heyward – 2011
Draft tidbit: Ohio State had five players selected in the first round of the 2006 draft, from A.J. Hawk (No. 5, Green Bay), to Donte Whitner (No. 8, Buffalo) to Bobby Carpenter (No. 18, Dallas) to Santonio Holmes (No. 25 Pittsburgh) to Nick Mangold (No. 29, New York Jets).

PENN STATE
Last first-round pick: DE Jared Odrick – 2010
Draft tidbit: In Andrew Quarless (No. 154, Green Bay) and  Mickey Shuler (No. 214, Minnesota), Penn State had a pair of tight ends selected in the 2010 draft.

PURDUE
Last first-round pick: DE Ryan Kerrigan – 2011
Draft tidbit: Drafted No. 30 by the Jets in 2008, Dustin Keller became Purdue's highest selected offensive player since Jim Everett was taken No. 3 in the 1986 draft.

WISCONSIN
Last first-round pick: DE J.J. Watt – 2011
Draft tidbit: When J.J. Watt (No. 11, Houston) and Gabe Carimi (No. 29, Chicago) both went in the first round of the 2011 draft, they became the first Wisconsin duo to go in the first round since Jamar Fletcher (No. 26, Miami) and Michael Bennett (No. 27, Minnesota) did so in 2001.
