The University of Iowa baseball team beat Penn State, 4-2, Sunday afternoon in the series finale at Duane Banks Field. The Hawkeyes scored three first-inning runs and never looked back en route to snapping a three-game losing streak. Iowa starter Sasha Kuebel was terrific, earning his fourth win of the year to remain perfect (4-0). The rookie threw seven and a third solid innings, yielding just two runs, striking out two while scattering seven hits. Junior third baseman Torsten Boss delivered a game-winning, base-loaded single in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Michigan State a 5-4 walk-off win over Minnesota Sunday afternoon at McLane Baseball Stadium. OHIO STATE 10, ILLINOIS 4
After winning the first two games of the Ohio State series behind strong pitching, timely hitting and solid defense, the Illini issued seven free bases, managed only one two-out hit and made their first error in five games as the Buckeyes avoided the sweep with a 10-4 win in front of 1,062 fans at Illinois Field on Sunday. GEORGIA SOUTHERN 9, INDIANA 1
