The top-ranked Northwestern women's lacrosse team stayed perfect on the season by rallying past No. 3 North Carolina, 8-7, at Lakeside Field on Friday night on BTN.

Junior midfielder Taylor Thornton did it all for the Wildcats in the win, finishing with a career-best six ground balls to go along with her two free position goals, two caused turnovers and two draw controls. Thornton scored the first two goals for either team in the second half, drawing the Wildcats level with 23:49 to play.

Northwestern (13-0), which has won 22 consecutive games, is back in action Sunday when it hosts No. 19 Johns Hopkins in a pivotal American Lacrosse Conference matchup. Game time is set for noon CT with the Big Ten Digital Network set to provide live online coverage of the event.
