Michigan scored a pair of runs in both the fifth and sixth innings and Trent Szkutnik and Alex Lakatos allowed two earned runs in a 4-3 victory over Michigan State on Saturday at McLane Stadium. With the victory, the Wolverines, winners of three consecutive games, clinched the series. Szkutnik picked up the win, scattering nine hits and allowing two earned runs, while Lakatos earned his second save of the season. Read full recap at MGoBlue.com. ILLINOIS def. INDIANA, 7-3
Indiana started the game with a home run and scored twice in the top of the first, but Illinois posted four in the third inning and held on for a 7-3 victory to even the Big Ten series in front of a season-high 1,386 fans at Illinois Field on Saturday. Starting pitcher John Kravetz overcame the early trouble to hold the Hoosiers to only three runs in 7 1/3 innings and Ronnie Muck recorded the final five outs for Illinois' first save of the season. NEBRASKA def. IOWA, 9-4
The Nebraska baseball team got a strong outing from Brandon Pierce in his first career conference start and Richard Stock went 3-for-3 at the plate to help the Huskers post a 9-4 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday afternoon at Hawks Field to even the three-game series at 1-1. Rich Sanguinetti and Chad Christensen also had multi-hit days with a pair of hits each, as the Huskers out-hit the Hawkeyes 10-7 and improved to 14-1 on the season when notching more hits than the opposition. OHIO STATE def. MINNESOTA, 5-3
The Ohio State baseball team topped Minnesota, 5-3, Saturday afternoon at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. With the win, the Buckeyes move to 17-12 on the season, 4-4 in the Big Ten, while Minnesota drops to 17-15 overall, 3-2 in conference play. RECAP & BOX SCORE

#19 PURDUE def. NORTHWESTERN, 3-1
Northwestern put the tying runs on base in the seventh and ninth innings and the go-ahead runs on base in the eighth, but its rally came up short in falling to 19th-ranked Purdue 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Rocky Miller Park. RECAP & BOX SCORE

PENN STATE def. Canisius, 4-3
Penn State baseball gave 1,204 Medlar Field fans something to cheer about for a fifth straight game, as senior Sean Deegan drilled a walk-off single off the right field wall to give the Lions a 4-3 win over the Canisius Golden Griffins on Saturday afternoon. RECAP & BOX SCORE
