FINAL RECAP: Cody Zeller scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Victor Oladipo added nine points and five boards as they teamed up to lead No. 17 Indiana to a 63-61 victory over Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday at Rose Garden in Portland in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.

Zeller gave Indiana (27-8) a boost, thanks to 5-of-9 shooting from the field.

The Hoosiers and Virginia Commonwealth (29-7) traded leads and momentum throughout the game, as the contest featured 14 lead changes.

Shooting 46 percent (6-of-13) from the line cost the Rams in a close game.

Indiana shot 52 percent from the field (24-of-46). The Hoosiers also got a double-digit game from Christian Watford, who scored 16.

Bradford Burgess scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds for Virginia Commonwealth in the loss. The Rams also got double-digit contributions from Troy Daniels, who scored 10 and Rob Brandenberg, who scored 13.

Winning the battle on the boards was crucial for Indiana as it grabbed 32 rebounds to 19 for Virginia Commonwealth. Down 33-31 in the first, the Rams broke out for an 11-0 run to take a nine-point lead with 1:49 left in the first half. Brandenberg capped the run off with a field goal that helped the Rams lead 42-41 at the half. With the loss, Virginia Commonwealth's seven-game winning streak came to an end.
