FINAL: Draymond Green scored 23 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out five assists as No. 12 Michigan State defeated Penn State 77-57 on Wednesday at the Breslin Center. Green and Keith Appling both had solid performances for Michigan State (19-5). Appling contributed 10 points, hauled in four rebounds, and had seven assists. Branden Dawson was 5-of-8 from the floor and chipped in 12 points for the Spartans. Michigan State shot 8-of-21 from three-point range during the game, good for 38 percent. Michigan State also got a double-digit effort from Adreian Payne, who scored 12. Tim Frazier had 19 points, pulled down five rebounds, and dished out seven assists for Penn State (10-15), which shot just 38 percent (20-of-52) from the field. Penn State also got a double-digit game from Jermaine Marshall, who scored 12. The Spartans won the rebounding battle, 41-22. Michigan State never trailed in the game and its largest lead was 23, which came with 2:46 remaining. Penn State has now lost five games in a row.

HALFTIME: No. 12 Michigan State held Penn State's offense to 22 percent shooting, helping the Spartans to a 33-19 halftime advantage. Keith Appling led the way for the Spartans, with six points, four rebounds, and three assists. The Spartans didn't trail once in the first half and they also led by as many as 17 points, helped a lot by not allowing a point in the first seven-plus minutes. The Spartans grabbed 10 offensive rebounds, to just three for Penn State. Eight Michigan State players scored in the first half. Tim Frazier and Nick Colella have shouldered the offensive burden for the Nittany Lions, scoring 16 of the team's 19 total points. Frazier has scored 10 and Colella has added six.

FINAL: No. 25 Michigan's defense shut down Nebraska, as the Wolverines defeated the Cornhuskers 62-46 on Wednesday at Bob Devaney Sports Center. Michigan (18-7) held Nebraska (11-12) well below its season average of 61.7 points per game in the victory. Trey Burke had a big performance for Michigan, with 12 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and 4-of-7 shooting from the field. The Wolverines were able to carry momentum into the break and sustain it to start the second half. Leading 16-15 in the first, Michigan used a 21-4 spurt to open its cushion to 18 points in the middle of the second half. Stu Douglass had a quality shooting game, nailing 4-of-7 shots from the field and scoring 13 points. The Wolverines shot 52 percent from the field (24-of-46), including 46 percent (11-of-24) from distance. The Wolverines also got a double-digit contribution from Zack Novak, who scored 14. Bo Spencer led the Huskers with 13 points and Brandon Ubel contributed six points and corralled nine rebounds. The Wolverines never trailed in the game. Michigan's largest lead was 26, which came with 2:47 to go.

HALFTIME: There were no free points for Nebraska, as No. 25 Michigan clamped down defensively to hold the Cornhuskers to 22 percent shooting in the first half and has a 22-15 lead going into the break. The Wolverines didn't trail once in the first half and led by as many as seven points. Tim Hardaway Jr., the leading scorer this season for Michigan, has zero points in the first 20 minutes. Brandon Richardson led the way for Nebraska in the first half, with seven points. The Wolverines' Zack Novak already has 10 points.
