It was a difficult year for the Nittany Lions, and the off-field transgressions and coaching change did have an effect on them, as several committed players switched to other schools. That said, there are some highly regarded players coming in.

Four-star receiver Eugene Lewis is staying home and brings good size and big play ability to the position. Maryland has been kind to the Nittany Lions in recruiting and they landed big tight end Brent Wilkerson, tough, physical defensive tackle Brian Gaia and ultra quick cover corner Da?Quan Davis from that area this year.

Linebacker U should continue on as in-state backer Nyeem Wartman has big time size at 6?3, 230-lbs and athleticism to go along with it. Offensively, in addition to Lewis, New York running back Akeel Lynch brings size and talent to the backfield.
