In their first year in the Big Ten, the Cornhuskers spread around their recruiting, signing players from ten different states. The headliner of the class is quarterback Tommy Armstrong, a Texas native who can run it and throw it. He?s ranked in the top nationally at his position.

He?ll have some help in the form of four-star offensive tackle Paul Thurston and sure handed four-star receiver Jordan Westerkamp, a record setter in the state of Illinois. Defensively, the Huskers are lead by linebacker Michael Rose and defensive end Greg McMullen, who chose Nebraska despite offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame and others.

They will be joined in the front seven by massive defensive tackle Vincent Valentine, who made a Signing Day commitment to the Huskers, spurning Florida, Illinois and others.
