The Hawkeyes had a good year in recruiting, picking up three four-star prospects, two defensive linemen from Illinois, Faith Ekakitie and Jaleel Johnson and Pennsylvania running back Greg Garmon.

All three had extensive offer lists and the Hawkeyes beat out other top programs for their commitment. The secondary should see a boost from this class as Detroit Cass Tech safety Ruben Lile is a rangy 6-foot-3 athlete and Chicago Curie cornerback Maurice Fleming brings big time speed and athleticism to the position.

Wide receiver Cameron Wilson is a good fit at Iowa and makes a lot of plays after the catch. Two sleepers to keep an eye on are offensive tackle Mitch Keppy, a wrestler and Hawkeye legacy recruit and Drew Ott, an athletic 6?4, 235-lb kid who got overlooked by some because he played eight-man football in high school. On Signing Day, the Hawkeyes flipped over Minnesota commit Dinero Moss.
