Big Ten releases latest weekly honors

The Big Ten Conference released its latest Big Ten Men's Basketball Players of the Week for Jan. 23-29 action. See the winners and what they did to earn the honors in this post.

Co-Player of the Week: Draymond Green, Michigan State, F - Sr. - 6-7 - Saginaw, Mich. - Saginaw

• Scored 22 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and added six assists in Michigan State?s 68-52 win over Minnesota
• Shot 82 percent from the field, converting on nine of 11 field goal attempts, including all eight from two-point range
• Recorded his 11^th double-double of the season, good for first in the Big Ten
• Picks up his third career weekly award and second this season
• Last Michigan State Player of the Week: Keith Appling (Jan. 2, 2012)

Brandon Richardson, Nebraska, G - Sr. - 6-0 - Los Angeles, Calif. - Hawthorne

• Recorded 25 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead Nebraska to a 79-73 road win over Iowa
• Shot 90 percent from the floor, hitting nine of 10 shots, including six of seven from three-point range
• Marked a career high in points
• Collects Nebraska?s first weekly award as a member of the Big Ten

Freshman of the Week: Branden Dawson, Michigan State, G - 6-6 - Gary, Ind. - Lew Wallace

• Posted a career-high 16 points, along with four rebounds and four blocks, in Michigan State?s win over Minnesota
• Made seven of 10 field goal attempts en route to a 70 percent field goal percentage
• Ten of his 16 points came in the second half
• Earns his first weekly award
