In the second Super Wednesday doubleheader, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, of the season, No. 13 Michigan held off Northwestern in overtime (recap) and Nebraska picked up its first Big Ten win with a victory over Penn State (recap). Michigan 66, Northwestern 64, OT: BOX | AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: No. 13 Michigan took the lead with 2:12 remaining in overtime on a field goal by Trey Burke and hung on for a 66-64 win over Northwestern on Wednesday at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor. Both Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. played well for Michigan (14-3). Burke had 19 points, pulled down seven rebounds, and dished out seven assists. Hardaway Jr. contributed 19 points, corralled six rebounds, made 7-of-13 shots from the floor, and hit 5-of-9 three-pointers. Michigan trailed 39-29 early in the second half, but a 17-5 run allowed it to take a two-point lead in the middle of the second half. The Wolverines had trouble finding their touch, shooting just 33 percent (22-of-66) from the field. Michigan was tough on the offensive boards, grabbing 15. The Wolverines also got a double-digit contribution from Stu Douglass, who scored 10. John Shurna scored 21 points, hauled in five rebounds, and shot 9-of-16 from the field for Northwestern (11-5). The Wildcats, who shot 50 percent from the field (24-of-48), also got a double-digit effort from Drew Crawford (20). Winning the rebounding battle was a key to victory for Michigan, as it outrebounded the Wildcats 34-26.

HALFTIME: John Shurna and Drew Crawford have teamed up to give Northwestern a 34-27 lead over No. 13 Michigan. Shurna scored 12 points and shot 5-of-6 from the field. Crawford scored 11 points, grabbed four rebounds, and shot 5-of-8 from the field. The Wolverines trail in spite of Tim Hardaway Jr.'s 14 points. The game was knotted up when Michigan went 1:54 without scoring, allowing the Wildcats to take a 8-0 lead with 16:23 left in the first half.

Nebraska 70, Penn State 58: BOX | AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: Tim Frazier led Penn State with a career-high 30 points, but it was not enough as Nebraska picked up its first Big Ten win in a 70-58 victory over the Nittany Lions on Wednesday at Bob Devaney Sports Center. Bo Spencer sparked Nebraska (9-7), as he had 19 points, pulled down four rebounds, and dished out five assists in the win. Caleb Walker was 5-of-7 from the floor and chipped in 12 points for the Cornhuskers. Nebraska hit 54 percent of its field goals (22-of-41). The Cornhuskers went 19-of-29 from the charity stripe as a team (66 percent). Nebraska also got double-digit games from Dylan Talley, who scored 12 and Toney McCray, who scored 13. Penn State (9-9) struggled from the floor, shooting 34 percent (20-of-58).

HALFTIME: Nebraska is dominating the rebounding battle so far, with a 17-11 margin, and the Cornhuskers take a 34-22 lead over Penn State to the locker room. Leading 19-15, Nebraska went on an 8-0 run to open up a 27-15 advantage. The Cornhuskers have generated more of their offensive production from inside the three-point line, making 11-of-15 two-point field goals and hitting 2-of-10 from beyond the arc. Nebraska got points from seven different players. Most of the Nittany Lions' offense has come from Tim Frazier and Sasa Borovnjak, who have scored 17 of the team's 22 total points. Frazier has scored 11 and Borovnjak has added six. Caleb Walker led the way for Nebraska in the first half, with nine points and four rebounds.
