It was a crazy day of Big Ten hoops Saturday, highlighted by a pair of exciting upsets. No. 15 Indiana knocked off No. 2 Ohio State (recap) and Iowa stunned No. 11 Wisconsin at the Kohl Center (recap). In other action, Purdue defeated Illinois (recap) and No. 17 Michigan State held off Nebraska (recap). Iowa 72, Wisconsin 65: BOX | AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: Aaron White scored 18 points and Bryce Cartwright added 17 points as they teamed up to lead Iowa to a 72-65 upset victory over No. 11 Wisconsin on Saturday at the Kohl Center in Madison. White carried the offensive load for Iowa (9-6), finishing with 6-of-7 shooting from the field. The Hawkeyes erased any doubts by taking control right after halftime. Down 38-31 early in the second half, Iowa broke out for a 19-6 run to take a six-point lead midway through the second half. The Hawkeyes hit 49 percent of their field goals (29-of-59). Iowa also got a solid contribution from Melsahn Basabe, who had 14 points. Josh Gasser scored 11 points and hauled in eight rebounds for Wisconsin (12-3) in the game. The Badgers struggled from the floor, shooting 35 percent (24-of-68). Wisconsin also got solid contributions from Jordan Taylor, who scored 17 points, Jared Berggren, who contributed 12 points, and Ben Brust, who added 11. The Hawkeyes snapped the Badgers' six-game winning streak with the victory.

HALFTIME: No. 11 Wisconsin and Iowa head into halftime tied at 31, despite the best efforts of the Badgers' Jordan Taylor, who had a big first half. In the first 20 minutes, Taylor scored eight points. The game was tied before Wisconsin went into a funk, going the next 2:33 without scoring, and allowing the Hawkeyes to take a 10-2 lead early in the game. Seven Wisconsin players scored in the first half. Eight Iowa players have scored. Iowa's Matt Gatens already has four points and six rebounds..

Michigan State 68, Nebraska 55: BOX | AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: Draymond Green scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead No. 17 Michigan State to a 68-55 win over Nebraska on Saturday at Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln. Michigan State (13-2) went into the locker room with the momentum and came out of the second half flying as well. Down 28-21 in the first, the Spartans broke out for a 28-6 run to take a 15-point lead midway through the second half. Michigan State also got a double-digit performance from Keith Appling, who added 14. Toney McCray scored 14 points and corralled six rebounds for Nebraska (8-5) in the game. The Cornhuskers had trouble finding their touch, shooting just 36 percent (18-of-50) from the field. Nebraska also got a double-digit effort from Bo Spencer, who scored 15 points. The Spartans won the rebounding battle en route to victory, pulling down 34 boards to 20 for the Cornhuskers. Michigan State had an advantage from the free throw line due to shooting 90 percent (19-of-21) from the charity stripe compared to 80 percent (12-of-15) for Nebraska. The Spartans push their winning streak to 13 games with the victory.

HALFTIME: Brandon Richardson has four points to lead Nebraska to a 30-29 lead over No. 17 Michigan State at the end of the first half. The Cornhuskers never trailed in the first half and led by as many as eight points. Nebraska distributed the ball with nine assists on 10 field goals in the first half. The Spartans applied the pressure in the first half, earning second-chance opportunities with seven offensive rebounds, to just zero for the Cornhuskers. Seven Michigan State players scored in the first half. Michigan State's Draymond Green had a big first half, with nine points and five rebounds.

Purdue 75, Illinois 60: BOX | AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: Purdue was able to carry momentum into the break and sustain it after, which allowed the Boilermakers to secure a 75-60 over Illinois on Saturday at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette. Trailing 23-15 with 4:20 to go in the first half, Purdue (12-3) went on a 43-8 run to seize a 27-point advantage in the middle of the second half. Even in defeat, D.J. Richardson came through for Illinois (12-3) with 15 points, six rebounds, and 7-of-13 shooting from the field. Ryne Smith sparked the Boilermakers, as he contributed 12 points, went 4-of-6 from the field, and drilled 4-of-5 three-pointers in the victory. Purdue shot 57 percent from the field (25-of-44). The Boilermakers were on fire from beyond the arc during the game, shooting 53 percent (9-of-17). Purdue went 16-of-28 from the charity stripe as a team (57 percent). More Purdue scoring came from Kelsey Barlow, who scored 14 points. The Fighting Illini also got a double-digit contribution from Brandon Paul, who scored 17 points.

HALFTIME: Purdue leads 26-24 over Illinois at the half thanks to solid defense and Ryne Smith's team-high six points. In the first 20 minutes, D.J. Richardson scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds. Trailing 14-11, the Fighting Illini used a 10-0 run to blow past the Boilermakers and take a 21-14 lead. Purdue's leading scorer, Robbie Hummel, has been contained by Illinois thus far. The senior enters halftime with two points, well below his season average of 17.4. The Boilermakers hit five threes in the first half, shooting 45 percent from deep. Purdue demonstrated its offensive efficiency by racking up six assists on 10 baskets. Eight Purdue players scored in the half.

Indiana 74, Ohio State 70: BOX | AP RECAP | SCOREBOARD

FINAL: No. 15 Indiana trailed in the waning moments of Saturday's game, but took the lead for good on a field goal with 37 seconds to go by Victor Oladipo and hung on for a 74-70 upset triumph over No. 2 Ohio State at Assembly Hall in Bloomington. There were five players in double figures, including Jordan Hulls, whose 17 points led the charge to victory. Indiana (13-1) also got double-digit contributions from Oladipo, who contributed 15 points, Cody Zeller, who had 14, Verdell Jones III, who scored 14, and Christian Watford, who scored 10. The teams traded the lead 11 times in the game. Aaron Craft scored 16 points, pulled down five rebounds, and shot 6-of-10 from the field for Ohio State (13-2) in the loss. The Buckeyes hit 49 percent of their field goals (24-of-49). Ohio State shot 19-of-26 from the free throw line. The Buckeyes also got double-digit efforts from Jared Sullinger, who added 15 and Lenzelle Smith Jr., who scored 12 points. Ohio State lost despite out rebounding the Hoosiers 34-26. The win for Indiana breaks the Buckeyes' five-game winning streak.

HALFTIME: Verdell Jones III has 12 points to lead No. 15 Indiana to a 33-32 lead over No. 2 Ohio State at the end of the first half. The Hoosiers put the clamps on the Buckeyes' three-point game, and Ohio State may try to work the ball inside more in the second as the Buckeyes made 60 percent of two-point attempts (12-of-20) and zero percent (0-of-6) from long range. After already giving up six offensive rebounds to Ohio State, Indiana will have to keep the Buckeyes off the boards in the second half. Seven Ohio State players scored in the first half. Ohio State's Lenzelle Smith Jr. had a big first half, with six points.
