		<description><![CDATA[As a life long Purdue sports fan and a current Purdue grad student....it is safe to say Hope is &quot;hopeless&quot; as a Big Ten head coach. He has a few great qualities but his errors far outweigh them. The loss to Rice this year was greatly attributable to him and his staff. The 2 coaches that would work better are already taken though (Sumlin and Leach). I say let him have another year before talking extension.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I think Michigan and Rich Rodriguez were granted the coaching waiver in 2007 when Lloyd Carr was coaching the team for the Capital One Bowl, so it has been done in the Big Ten previously. It&#039;s a very common practice.
