Big Ten teams cruised to victory Monday, headlined by No. 15 Michigan's 73-61 victory over No. 8 Memphis in the Maui Invitational. Michigan 73, Memphis 61 BOX | AP RECAP

FINAL: Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 21 points, grabbed five rebounds and handed out five assists as Michigan defeated Memphis 73-61 in an upset on Monday at Lahaina Civic Center in Lahaina in the Maui Invitational. The Wolverines were able to carry momentum into the break and sustain it to start the second half. Michigan trailed 31-27 late in the first half, but went on a 15-3 run over the next 4:37 to take an eight-point lead. Evan Smotrycz had a quality shooting game, nailing 3-of-5 shots from the field and scoring seven points. The Wolverines shot 52 percent from the field (27-of-52). To go along with Hardaway Jr.'s efforts, Trey Burke racked up 14 points. Charles Carmouche tallied 14 points and made 6-of-11 shots from the floor for the Tigers in the loss. Memphis had trouble finding its touch, shooting just 32 percent (19-of-60) from the field. Michigan won the rebounding battle en route to victory, pulling down 31 boards to 17 for the Tigers.

HALFTIME: Memphis led Michigan late in the first half, but allowed the Wolverines to use a 10-0 run to take a 37-31 lead into halftime. Will Barton, the leading scorer this season for the Tigers, has not made much of an impact through the first 20 minutes. Sitting with two points, he is far below his usual level of production. The Wolverines have generated more of their offensive production from inside the three-point line, making 12-of-16 two-point field goals and hitting 3-of-10 from beyond the arc. Charles Carmouche led the way for Memphis in the first half, with eight points. Michigan's Tim Hardaway Jr. already has 11 points.

Indiana 73, Gardner-Webb 49 BOX | AP RECAP

FINAL: Indiana was able to carry momentum into the break and sustain it after, which allowed the Hoosiers to secure a 73-49 over Gardner-Webb on Monday at Assembly Hall in Bloomington. The Hoosiers led 31-23 late in the first half before they widened the margin to 30 points with a 28-6 run that ended midway through the second half. A 21-5 run led Indiana to an early 16-point lead. Will Sheehey ended the run with a field goal, which helped the Hoosiers hold a 34-23 advantage at halftime. Even in defeat, Max Landis came through for the Runnin' Bulldogs with 18 points. Sheehey sparked the Hoosiers as he had 15 points and went 7-of-11 from the field in the victory. Cody Zeller shot 6-of-8 from the field and scored 13 points for Indiana. The Hoosiers shot 49 percent from the field (29-of-59). Along with Sheehey's performance and Zeller's stellar play, Victor Oladipo totaled 13 points and Derek Elston scored 10 points. Gardner-Webb had trouble finding its touch, shooting just 38 percent (18-of-48) from the field. Along with Landis' work, Jason Dawson contributed 14 points. Indiana never trailed. The Hoosiers' largest lead was 32, which came with 4:55 remaining.

HALFTIME: Victor Oladipo has 10 points to lead Indiana to a 34-23 lead over Gardner-Webb at the end of the first half. The Runnin' Bulldogs should feel pretty good, considering in the half they trailed the Hoosiers by as many as 16 points. Indiana built its lead by drawing fouls with an aggressive offense. Through 20 minutes of play, the Hoosiers have attempted 12 free throws. Leading 8-4, Indiana went on an 11-0 run to open up a 19-4 advantage. The Hoosiers have been effective inside, making 9-of-15 two-point field goals, but Indiana has struggled on the perimeter, shooting 25 percent (2-of-8) from three-point range. The Hoosiers' leading scorer, Cody Zeller, has been shut down thus far. He enters halftime with five points. Max Landis' big game so far includes eight points.

Minnesota 85, Mount St. Mary's 56 BOX | AP RECAP

FINAL: Austin Hollins led five of Minnesota's players in double digits with 14 points as the Golden Gophers defeated Mount St. Mary's 85-56 on Monday at Williams Arena in Minneapolis. To go with Hollins' efforts, Andre Hollins scored 13 points, Rodney Williams tallied 12 points, Trevor Mbakwe totaled 10 points, and Joe Coleman contributed 10 points. Minnesota outscored its season average of 69.3 points per game by a large margin. The Golden Gophers hit 50 percent of their field goals (30-of-60). Minnesota went 20-of-31 from the charity stripe as a team (65 percent). An 11-0 run led the Golden Gophers to an early 11-point lead. Williams ended the run with a field goal, which helped the Golden Gophers hold a 51-18 advantage at halftime. Danny Thompson had 14 points for the Mountaineers in a losing effort. Kelvin Parker had a quality shooting game, nailing 5-of-8 shots from the field and scored 13 points. To go with Thompson's efforts and Parker's contribution, Julian Norfleet chipped in 11 points and Josh Castellanos scored 10 points. Minnesota never trailed. The Golden Gophers' largest lead was 39, which came with 7:05 remaining.

HALFTIME: Minnesota holds a 51-18 lead over Mount St. Mary's at halftime thanks to a high-flying offense. The Golden Gophers have the lead at halftime due in large part to their ability to get to the free throw line. Minnesota took 23 free throws. The Golden Gophers never trailed in the first half and led by as many as 33 points. Leading 12-4, Minnesota went on a 13-0 run to open up a 25-4 advantage. Trevor Mbakwe, the leading scorer this season for the Golden Gophers, has not made much of an impact through the first 20 minutes. Sitting with two points, he is far below his usual level of production. The Mountaineers' leading scorer, Julian Norfleet, has been shut down thus far. With zero points, he will need a strong second half to get to his usual level of production. Rodney Williams led the way for Minnesota in the first half, with 12 points. Mount St. Mary's' Danny Thompson had a big first half, with 10 points.

Ohio State 85, North Florida 50 BOX | AP RECAP

FINAL: Jared Sullinger scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lift Ohio State to an 85-50 win over North Florida on Monday at Value City Arena in Columbus. The Buckeyes hit 47 percent of their field goals (28-of-60). Ohio State went 25-of-40 from the charity stripe as a team (63 percent). The Buckeyes went into the locker room with the momentum and came out of the second half flying as well. Ohio State was winning 24-19 in the half before it went on a 34-10 run to extend its lead to 29 points with 14:52 remaining in the game. Besides Sullinger's production, Deshaun Thomas chipped in 16 points and William Buford registered 13 points. The Ospreys shot just 39 percent from the field (18-of-46). For North Florida, Parker Smith scored 10 points. The Buckeyes won the rebounding battle en route to victory, pulling down 43 boards to 31 for the Ospreys.

HALFTIME: Jared Sullinger scored 16 points for Ohio State in the first half to carry it to a 45-26 lead over North Florida. Sullinger and Deshaun Thomas are leading the way for the Buckeyes. Sullinger grabbed five rebounds and shot 5-of-8 from the field. Thomas scored 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, and shot 5-of-8 from the field. The Ospreys trailed 24-19 before allowing Ohio State to go on a 21-7 run to close the half. An aggressive offense and the ability to get to the charity stripe allowed the Buckeyes to take a halftime lead. Through 20 minutes of play, Ohio State has attempted 16 free throws. The Buckeyes were leading when they used an 8-0 spurt to widen their advantage to 32-19. The long-distance game has been bottled up and Ohio State might be better served by bringing the ball inside more as the Buckeyes shot 67 percent (14-of-21) on two-point shots, but 2-of-10 from beyond the arc. Ohio State moved the ball in the first half, accounting for 10 assists on 16 field goals. North Florida has been effective inside, making 9-of-16 two-point field goals, but the Ospreys have struggled on the perimeter, shooting 20 percent (2-of-10) from three-point range. Andy Diaz, the leading scorer this season for North Florida, has not made much of an impact through the first 20 minutes. He enters halftime with two points. Travis Wallace led the way for the Ospreys in the first half, with five points.
