Northwestern advanced to the Big Ten Conference Men's Soccer Championship by defeating Indiana 1-1 (3-2 on penalty kicks) on Friday at Michigan. Wisconsin could come back and fell 1-0 to Penn State in the second semifinal. The championship match will be played Sunday at noon ET and the game will air live on the Big Ten Network. Indiana 1, Northwestern 1 (Northwestern wins in PKs, 3-2): Top-seeded Northwestern advanced to the Big Ten championship game after defeating fourth-seeded Indiana 3-2 on penalty kicks this afternoon at U-M Soccer Stadium. Tied 1-1 after 110 minutes, the Wildcats used three penalty kicks from Reed Losee, Peter O'Neill and Nick Gendron to move on to Sunday's title game. Indiana's Eriq Zavaleta opened the scoring in the 19th minute, while an own goal in the 77th minute knotted the score at one. The Wildcats will face the winner of Penn State-Wisconsin on Sunday at Noon ET.  -BigTen.org

Penn State 1, Wisconsin 0: Penn State will be the first team to play for the title as No. 7 seed  as the Nittany Lions punched their ticket to the final by downing No. 3 seed Wisconsin (10-8-2), 1-0. Junior midfielder Minh Vu supplied all the offense Penn State would need, netting his third goal of the season. Freshman Owen Griffith  got the assist. – GoPSUsports.com
