The University of Iowa volleyball team dropped a five-set decision to 10th-ranked Purdue Thursday night inside Halloway Gym (22-25, 22-25, 25-15, 25-15, 15-6). Iowa threatened to sweep the Boilermakers, grabbing leads of 8-5 and 14-13 in the third frame, but Purdue ran away from a 15-15 tie with 10 straight points to win set three, 25-15. The Boilermakers then built an early 10-3 advantage in the fourth set and eventually held on for another 25-15 decision to force a decisive set five.
