The Big Ten Conference announced its Week 10 Football Players of the Week on Monday morning. Five players were recognized, including Co-Offensive Player Kain Colter, who filled in for an injured Dan Persa in the second half to lead Northwestern to an upset win at ranked Nebraska. Colter accounted for three touchdowns, two on the ground and an 81-yard scoring strike to Jeremy Ebert. See all the winners in this post.

Co-Offensive Players of the Week: Kain Colter, Northwestern, So., QB, Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek

  • Guided Northwestern on three touchdown drives in the second half, sealing the Wildcats? second-straight Big Ten road win with a 28-25 decision over nationally ranked Nebraska
  • Totaled 229 yards of total offense and assumed control of the offense in the second half following an injury to starting quarterback Dan Persa
  • Finished with 57 yards rushing and two touchdowns, 115 yards passing, including an 81-yard touchdown strike to Jeremy Ebert, and 57 receiving yards
  • Claims his first career Big Ten weekly honor

Montee Ball, Wisconsin

Jr., RB, Wentzvile, Mo./Timberland

  • Rushed for a career-best 223 yards, the most rushing yards by a Badger since 2007, on just 20 carries and scored three touchdowns in Wisconsin?s win over Purdue
  • Surpassed the 1,000-yard mark, pushing his season total to 1,076 yards on the ground.
  • Now has 24 total touchdowns this season, matching the school?s single-season record and just two behind the conference record
  • Claims the second weekly honor of the season and of his career

Defensive Player of the Week: Chris Borland, Wisconsin, So., LB, Kettering, Ohio/Archbishop Alter

  • Finished with 11 tackles, including 3.5 for loss, with an interception and two forced fumbles in Wisconsin?s win over Purdue
  • Returned the interception to the Purdue five-yard line, where the Badgers would score on their next play
  • Helped the Badger defense hold Purdue to 284 yards of total offense for the game and no points in the second half
  • Claims his first weekly honor of the season and the second of his career

Special Teams Player of the Week: Mike Sadler, Michigan State, Fr., P, Cincinnati, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller

  • Placed four of five punts inside the 20-yard line, with 175 yards on five attempts
  • Had two punts downed inside the Minnesota 10-yard line with under eight minutes to play, including one at the six-yard line
  • Claims his first career honor

Freshman of the Week: Raheem Mostert, Purdue, KR, New Smyrna Beach, Fla./New Smyrna Beach

  • Broke Purdue single-game records of total kick return yardage and kick return average against Wisconsin on Saturday
  • Finished with 206 yards on five returns,  an average of 41.2 yards, breaking both records set by Stan Brown in 1969
  • Recorded returns of 74, 49, 40, 22 and 21 yards
  • Claims his first career weekly honor
