Minnesota and head football coach Jerry Kill agreed on a seven-year contract Tuesday morning. The contract is effective as of December 2010 and runs through the 2017 season. "I'm glad it's now settled and we can move on from here," Kill said in a statement. "We are excited about the future of our program." The Gophers (1-6, 0-3) have struggled in Kill's first season, one that has been affected by the coach's continued bout with seizures. Outscored 144-31 in Big Ten play, Minnesota looks to tally its first conference win Saturday against Iowa (3:30 p.m. ET, BTN). Don't forget, you can catch the game on BTN2Go, too.
