The Northwestern football team will debut new adidas alternate uniforms when it hosts Penn State at 7 p.m. ET Saturday on BTN. The uniform features an all-purple look, with "Wildcats" written on the left thigh and claw marks on the shoulders, and an all-silver helmet, with the players' number on the side. Without seeing the new look in person, it appears to be pretty sharp. One thing's for sure: It will be fun to see something so modern going up against Penn State's old-school, all-white road uniform. The helmet is awesome – always a fan of the numbers on the side – and, to me, it makes up for whatever adidas did with the uniform. Not many teams try to pull off the all-purple uniform, but this one just might succeed.
