(AP) Michael Floyd had 12 catches for 137 yards and a touchdown to help Notre Dame defeat Purdue 38-10 on Saturday night. Cierre Wood ran for a career-high 191 yards, Jonas Gray rushed for 94 yards and Tommy Rees passed for 254 yards and three touchdowns for the Fighting Irish (3-2). Notre Dame outgained Purdue 551 yards to 276 in its most dominant performance of the season. It was a season-high yardage total for the Irish and their third game with at least 500 yards of offense. Caleb TerBush completed 10 of 15 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown for Purdue (2-2). But the Boilermakers also committed 13 penalties for 118 yards. FOURTH QUARTER: Notre Dame finished off its blowout of Purdue with a strong fourth quarter and won 38-10. The Fighting Irish added to their advantage when David Ruffer kicked a 21-yard field goal, the final play on a 15-play, 70-yard drive to give Notre Dame the lead, 38-3. The Fighting Irish squandered an opportunity to score a touchdown, missing a chance to score from the Boilermakers' four-yard line before settling for the field goal. Purdue put the finishing touches on a 95-yard drive when Caleb TerBush threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Antavian Edison to make the score 38-10. The Boilermakers drove across midfield after TerBush's 23-yard pass to Edison from the 35-yard line.

THIRD QUARTER: The offense led Notre Dame to 14 third-quarter points, and the Fighting Irish now lead 35-3. Notre Dame executed a balanced offensive attack in the quarter, finishing with 82 yards passing and 76 yards rushing. The Fighting Irish made their lead 28-3 when Tommy Rees tossed a six-yard touchdown to Tyler Eifert on the last play of a seven-play, 69-yard drive. Notre Dame expanded its lead to 35-3 thanks to an 11-play, 87-yard drive that ended when Rees and TJ Jones hooked up for an 11-yard touchdown. The Fighting Irish's Rees passed for 82 yards in the quarter to put him over 200 yards for the game. Rees has 245 yards through the air so far today. Notre Dame will start the fourth quarter with possession at its own 37-yard line.

SECOND QUARTER: Notre Dame ran for 81 yards in the quarter, and the Fighting Irish now lead 21-3. Notre Dame made its lead 21-0 when Cierre Wood pounded in a 55-yard touchdown run on the last play of a three-play, 79-yard drive. A 70-yard drive that ended when Carson Wiggs made a 27-yard field goal helped Purdue narrow the deficit to 21-3. The Fighting Irish's Michael Floyd reached the 100-yard receiving mark for the game thanks to three catches for 38 yards in the quarter, and currently sits with 111 yards in all. Notre Dame's Wood topped 100 yards rushing for the game in the quarter, and has plenty of time to add to his 101 total yards on the ground. The Fighting Irish will get the ball to start the second half.

FIRST QUARTER: Notre Dame's offense looked sharp in the first quarter, scoring 14 points, and the Fighting Irish lead 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. Notre Dame executed a balanced offensive attack in the quarter, finishing with 110 yards passing and 69 yards rushing. The Fighting Irish got on the scoreboard first, rattling off a two-play, 35-yard drive that ended in a score when Tommy Rees and Michael Floyd hooked up for a 35-yard touchdown. An interception by Gary Gray set Notre Dame up at Purdue's 35-yard line to start the drive. The Fighting Irish opened up the lead, 14-0, after Jonas Gray pounded in a three-yard touchdown run to end an 11-play, 82-yard drive. The Boilermakers will start the second quarter with the ball at their own 44-yard line.
