Miller to Start for Ohio State

Ohio State will make a switch at starting quarterback this weekend, going with freshman Braxton Miller, Buckeyes head coach Luke Fickell announced Thursday. Braxton, who was rated the number one dual threat quarterback in the 2011 recruiting class by rivals.com, replaces senior Joe Bauserman.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, Bauserman still could see some playing time when the Buckeyes take on Colorado in Columbus on Saturday. Ohio State (2-1) suffered a disappointing 24-6 loss to Miami last week, with the Buckeyes failing to find the end zone and Bauserman completing just two of 14 passes for 13 yards.

Miller, an Ohio native who led his high school to a state title game last year, shared time with Bauserman in the Miami game, completing two of four passes for 22 yards and one interception. The speedy freshman also rushed for 32 yards on seven carries.
