Two Saturdays ago, Minnesota head football coach Jerry Kill was taken off the field on a stretcher to "Jerry! Jerry!" chants. Kill returned to the field in Week 3, one week after suffering a seizure on the sideline, and recorded his first victory as Minnesota coach. When Kill entered the locker room following the team's 29-23 victory, he once again heard the "Jerry! Jerry!" chants. This time, it was from his proud players. The Gophers (1-2) close out their nonconference schedule at 7 p.m. ET Saturday against North Dakota State on BTN. Minnesota's Duane Bennett won Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week for his blocked punt that he returned for a score. He also talked with Mike Hall on Monday's "Big Ten Breakdown."
